These dinners offer the chance to meet 和 talk with fellow College members in a slightly more formal environment. 

Formal Halls are held on Wednesdays at 7pm for 7.30pm, 和 consist of a three-course served meal with coffee.

How to book a Formal Dinner

Reservations for Formal Dinner are now made through your Upay account accessed at www.upay.co.uk 

When making your booking, please remember to enter details of any special dietary requirements that you or your guests have, at the appropriate stage.

Typically, booking closes at 1.45pm the day before (Tuesday). For cancellations, please email formals@clarehall.凸轮.ac.uk 在预订之前关闭. There are no refunds for cancellations after the close of booking on the Tuesday lunchtime.

Please note that there is a drinks charge (currently £4 per person) for all those attending Formal Dinner for wine 和 non-alcoholic drinks served with the meal. If you are in receipt of a meal allowance please note this will be charged separately 和 is not included in the Upay ticket price.

All members of the College pay for meals using Upay 和 cash is not accepted in the Dining Hall.

Any allowances are credited to your Upay account which is linked to your University card. Meals are then charged to this account by swiping your card at the Dining Hall till or when reserving a Formal Dinner ticket. Payments for guests will also be via their College member/host’s Upay account.

College members may now invite two guests to Formal Hall; three or more will need prior approval from our 国内财务主管 until we raise capacity in the hall to 100.

正式礼堂着装规范
In order to ensure that Formal Halls are as enjoyable as possible for everyone, we ask that you dress in a fashion in keeping with the tenor of the occasion. Those attending are required to dress 正式. Examples of conventional smart dress include: a tailored jacket, 领带, 也好衬衫, 女衫裤套装, 裙子或连衣裙. National dress is also acceptable. While there is some room for interpretation, certain items of clothing (e.g.:短裤, 培训师, sleeveless vests) are unacceptable 和 guests should expect to be refused entry as such.

就餐协议
The use of electronic devices such as smartphones 和 tablets is not permitted at dining events.  Please ensure that your devices are switched off or silenced before meals begin.

Covid-safety措施:

阿里彩票 strongly encourages its members 和 visitors to wear facial coverings while in public indoor spaces.

We advise that Lateral Flow Tests (LFTs) are taken prior to attending large gatherings like Formal Halls, 和 we encourage the use of LFTs or PCRs, 是可用的, 在这一周.

We request that diners do not attend College if they feel unwell.

阿里彩票 has multiple h和-sanitising stations en route to the Dining Hall, 和 encourages their use by all. We ventilate the area as routine.

学院 has very low instances of Covid-19 和 a very high student testing rate. We also have a very high vaccination uptake rate.
